Paddle for a Purpose

About

Club Shakas Communities and Breast Cancer Research Centre-WA are embarking on an ambitious endeavour: to break the world record for the biggest paddle out while championing a cause close to our hearts- Breast Cancer awareness and research.
We paddle with purpose this October to raise funds for clinical research, empowering survivors and celebrating the resilience of many facing this disease.

Location: Trigg Beach, Western Australia
Date: 5th October 2024

Our project is not just about setting a record; it's about creating a legacy of hope and remembrance for those affected by breast cancer. By paddling out together in solidarity, we aim to honor the strength and resilience of patients and their families while raising crucial funds for Breast Cancer Research Centre WA.

Through our collective efforts, we aspire to raise awareness about breast cancer, inspire others to join the fight, and ultimately contribute to the ongoing research and support services for those impacted by this disease. Join us as we surf for a cause, breaking records, raising awareness, and making waves of change in the fight against breast cancer. Together, we can create a brighter future for all.

FAQ's

What if I can't surf?

If you can't/don't know how to, that is not an issue. We can still get you involved and out in the water. Trigg SLSC can transport people not willing/able to pass the break.

What if I don't have a surfboard?

We are very fortunate to have the support of Surfing WA to support with boards. Please let us know in advance to organise.

What if there is a delay/cancel?

We will work with Trigg SLSC and Club Shakas to organise another date/time.
